My Testimony

By Karen Wiemholt

I have been healed many times through the laying on of hands. I have also been fortunate to have prayed for mercy for peoples healing, of which God has miraculously answered.

Today, however, I am reminded of a promise God gave to me and my brother, Wayne Owings; approximately seventeen years ago.

We were prayer partners in the church of Antioch, and this certain day we chose to remain after the service to pray.

While we continued in prayer before God, my brother said to me, "Read this." We began to read in Isaiah 60—61:6. At that time the Spirit quickened me to read this passage of scripture again. We began to read it aloud. Then the Holy Ghost began to say through me that my brother had no vines to dress and that I had so few that I wouldn't need the sons of the aliens to dress and plow in the vineyards. I began to ask where are the grapes? Where are the grapes?

It was then we decided to leave. We walked out the door. We proceeded to walk outside, and saw a truck parked directly in front of the church. At that instant a man got out of the truck carrying two large bags of the biggest grapes I've ever seen. He thrust them into my arms, he got two more and gave them to Brother Owings.

He said to me these are for the church! I said, everyone had already left and we were the only ones there. He said I will return next week with more for the church. We thanked him and he drove off.

We returned inside the church and began to worship God, for we felt he had spoken words of faith to us. The next week the man returned with another truck full.

As I this day begin to contemplate some of the greatest words of scripture, spoken by Caleb. "Give me this mountain." I must admit "Though the giants will be there they will not harm us."

Consider the bunch of grapes brought down from Hebron, so large it took 2 men to carry on a stave. Consider Nicodemus and Joseph as they pulled the body of their Lord of promise off that cross.

Consider Caleb, not even of Jewish descent, one of the 12 spies the people asked for in their unbelief. Because Caleb wholly followed God, God himself promised him in Deut. 1:35 that he would possess Hebron. He later humbly asked Joshua for the mountain, saying he was still fully able, even at 80 years old to battle the giants for it.

He fought and he won. He fought the hardest and the strongest, "the Anakims" and their great walled cities.

We are living in the time of the end, and I truly believe that the God of Battles, Jesus Christ is still fighting for us and with us. As Jesus told Peter that "Be not afraid come to me on the waters." Let us be his for the harvest.
