Reaching our world is not an option. It is the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, this responsibility is not odious because we are constrained by the love of Christ to fulfill his will.
Reaching our world meant everything to God. Calvary speaks of his passions and his will. If I love Christ I will love the cause for which he gave himself. He gave himself that men everywhere might be saved.
The Book of Acts is a story of how the early Apostolic Church received the Holy Ghost and used that power to reach the world of their day. The majority of the Book of Acts is a story of foreign missions. Most of the epistles were written by foreign missionaries to people converted on a foreign field. The Book of Revelation was written to seven churches founded on a foreign field.
Please, consider this, if you are saved you are in debt to a foreign missionary. America was a foreign field until somebody brought the gospel here.
Some are called to go, the rest are called to send, but all are called to be involved with seeing that the gospel reaches every nation. Reaching our world is not optional. We have an assignment.
